Qualifications

• A degree and preferably a teaching certificate in a specific content area.
• Multicultural curriculum development and culturally responsive teaching experience.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills.
• The ability to follow lesson plans accurately.
• Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A proficiency in the use of technology.
• A desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Be available during school hours – approximately 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classroom control and discipline

• Confer with students and colleagues as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
