Kohl & Cook Law Firm LLC seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to support diverse civil matters across Ohio from Centerville/Columbus areas. The role requires drafting and editing legal documents, managing files, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and courts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in civil litigation, an associate degree or paralegal certificate, and strong MS Office and e-filing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years paralegal or legal assistant experience in civil litigation.
• Associate degree or paralegal certificate required.
• Strong MS Office, PDF editing, and research skills.
• Excellent proofreading and time management.
• E-filing proficiency in Ohio courts.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney calendars, case files, deadlines, and filings.
• Draft, edit, format pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• File documents in Federal and State courts accurately.
• Organize and archive evidence per firm conventions.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, counsel, and court staff.
• Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing, and trial prep.
• Track billable hours for cases.
• Assist the Columbus office and firm operations.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
