Kohl & Cook is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to support a busy Ohio practice. The role covers intake through resolution, managing calendars, drafting documents, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and judges.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, strong MS Office and research skills, and a detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. On-site office in Centerville, OH with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal or legal assistant experience in civil litigation.
• Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office, PDF editing, internet research.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney calendars and case files; track deadlines and filings.
• Draft, edit, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, affidavits, and related documents.
• File legal documents in Federal and State courts accurately and timely.
• Organize and archive evidence and case documents per firm practices.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, counsel, and court personnel professionally.
• Assist attorneys with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibit binders.
• Track and record billable hours for active matters.
• Support office manager and Columbus office operations.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
