Job summary

Army NAF seeks qualified staff to provide childcare and youth services at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. You will supervise and support children from infancy to adolescence, implement planned activities, and help with meals and safety procedures as part of a team serving military families.

Applicants must meet age and education requirements, communicate in English, and may need immunizations and background checks. Positions may require evenings and weekends to accommodate schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• For Skill/Target levels, additional experience or education requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years in Child and Youth Services (CYS) programs.
• Supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety during daily routines, activities, field trips, and events.
• Implements developmentally appropriate activities using prepared curricula and materials.
• Assists in arranging snacks or meals and responds to emergencies, illnesses, and emotional needs.
