Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the delivery of quality service and maximize branch productivity. You will work with the Branch Manager to ensure safety, world-class customer service, and adherence to standard processes across operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of sales and operational experience, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales and operational experience.
• High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all company policies.
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
• Performance management of direct staff including Inside Sales Reps, Drivers, and other staff as applicable.
• Motivate, coach and train personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
