Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality childcare program. The role involves engaging with students, coordinating with families, and ensuring compliance with licensing standards.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, leadership ability, and CPR/First Aid certification, with demonstrated experience in supervising children and developing safe, engaging activities.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Age 18 or over
• Experience supervising groups of children (4+ non-relatives)
• ECPC Level I credential or higher (DOE 3.0)
• Annual minimum 15 clock hours of training (June 1–May 31)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Enforce Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements daily.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff, and district personnel.
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promote and market the before/after school program.
• Attend required professional development trainings.
• Assist in implementing quality lesson plans for daily operation.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, storage, and repair.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Plan and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly staff meetings as required by the director.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
