Job summary

The role oversees budgets, coordinates with campus departments, and serves as primary contact for external users; requires an associate degree or higher and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Flexibility for weekend events and strong customer service are essential as the college expands athletic programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree or higher.
• Experience: minimum of three (3) years in athletic facility management or related field.
• Knowledge: knowledge of athletic contest practice, event equipment, and MS Office.
• Skills: ability to foresee problems and provide strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise and train athletic workers and scorekeepers.
• Plan work schedules for all events to ensure adequate staffing.
• Serve as point person for external inquiries about facilities.
• Coordinate utilization and rentals of athletic facilities.
• Apply rental rates and generate billing for external users.
• Prepare contracts and related documentation for facility use.
• Input on master scheduling software for event coordination.
• Create and update spreadsheets and calendars as needed.
• Collaborate with AV, Marketing, Athletics, Public Safety, and Business units.
• Learn and manage access keys and security for facilities.
• Identify custodial and maintenance needs for venues.
• Budget responsibility for outside rentals and department management.
• Coordinate risk management and safety procedures.
• Manage cash receipts for Triton athletic events.
• Advise on facility maintenance, modifications, and design.
• Assist with schedules, NJCAA compliance, and staffing.
• Supervise the athletic events coordinator.
• Operate scoreboards, PA systems and field equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
