Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking energetic team members for the Y-Kids program, a structured before and after school setting. You will facilitate curriculum, activities, and healthy snacks while reinforcing YMCA values.

Responsibilities include leading staff, coordinating with families, and maintaining records. A high school diploma is required; state licensing standards must be followed, with CPR/First Aid and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Supports a structured before- and after-school program
• Requires ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people
• Requires health screening and TB clearance as part of pre-employment
• Certifications: Pediatric First Aid and CPR; 15 hours of health and safety training or training within 90 days
• LiveScan fingerprint and criminal record clearance as part of hiring process

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum within guidelines and prepare supplies for activities
• Collaborate with staff to ensure program quality
• Supervise and guide Assistant Teachers/Teacher’s Aides
• Promote growth and exploration to meet each child’s needs
• Maintain program records and communicate with parents and supervisors
• Ensure licensing standards are met and participate in staff meetings and events
