Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our Before & After School Program at Fort Montgomery Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with morning and afternoon shifts and offers employer-paid childcare benefits.

Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, planning engaging activities across fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts, and maintaining strong family communication. Part-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Requires education credentials or degree with relevant experience in supervising child-care activities.
• Experience supervising staff in schools or child-serving environments is preferred.
• Acceptable credentials include NY State Child Care Administrator Credential or School-Age Child Care Credential.
• Two years of college with 18 credits plus 2 years of relevant experience also qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, homework support).
• Oversee daily attendance, registration, scheduling, and staffing levels.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with parents and caregivers via the Playground App.
• Collaborate with direct report to maintain high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.
