Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human/Youth Development, Sociology, Education, Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Recreation, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree acceptable for Public Service Provisional appointment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan of work that is equitable in meeting the county’s varied socio-economic population.
• Develop and conduct interdisciplinary programs with other staff members based on critical issues.
• Collaborate with other agencies and community groups to plan and implement programs.
• Conduct promotional efforts to expand the public’s view of extension programming.
• Analyze data, identify needs, and assist in developing educational programs with advisory groups and community leaders.
• Utilize current research data and information on emerging issues in program development and teaching.
• Maintain program records and annual programmatic goals in Georgia Counts timely.
• Participate in professional development and maintain a professional image.
• Engage with civic/community activities and network with leaders.
• Ensure Civil Rights/Equal Opportunity plan is followed and education is available to all.
