Job summary

UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is seeking a Part-Time County Extension 4-H Program Assistant to support the delivery of the 4-H program in their district. The position involves occasional evenings and weekends, with a 25-hour work week, and a starting salary around $22,490 commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven ability to work with youth and volunteers in a program setting.
• Experience with basic data management and communications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-school club meetings and deliver prepared curriculums meeting state guidelines.
• Recruit students for 4-H programs and assist volunteers with screening procedures.
• Help with project achievement, judging teams, and event preparation for 4-H.
• Coordinate transportation for districts and state events as assigned.
• Publicize 4-H events via local media and county websites.
