Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Dyeing/Kuster Lead for the Dalton, GA plant. This full-time role covers Monday–Friday, 3pm–11pm, supporting the shift supervisor and ensuring quality across dyeing operations, color matching, and line readiness.

Responsibilities include supervising line personnel, training new staff, maintaining records, and assisting with process improvements while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Leadership abilities for motivating employees
• Must pass the Munsell Color Test
• Basic reading and math skills required
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must have some basic computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Verify job procedures by observation to ensure line operations are correct, including greige roll lay-up, dyeing equipment, and color sequencing
• Inspect dyed rolls and maintain required reports
• Perform required computer data entry/close-outs
• Conduct on-the-job training with new line employees
• Provide directions/guidance to line personnel and assist in shade matching on carpet
• Line up production by speed groups and color sequencing
• Assist in monitoring operations to ensure quality output
• Fill in for supervisor when needed and maintain clean work areas
