Shaw Industries Ltd. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Dyeing/Kuster Inspector Clerk for a Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm shift. The role focuses on detecting quality problems during carpet inspection and reporting production through the Shopflex system.

Qualifications

• Experience performing quality inspections in manufacturing settings.
• Able to complete inspection records and reports accurately.
• Capable of following written and oral instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect carpet for defects.
• Obtain shade patches for supervisor review.
• Enter data for each roll in the computer and print tickets.
• Hold rolls and report quality problems to the supervisor.
• Report production through Shopflex.
• Fill out inspection reports/records.
• Complete department Stop Cards for line stops.
• Monitor width and dampness; escalate issues up the line.
• Determine changeover length and update records accordingly.
• Measure carpet width per order and record results in Shopflex.
