Responsibilities

• Inspect carpet for defects.
• Obtain shade patches for supervisor review.
• Enter data for each roll in the computer and print tickets.
• Hold rolls and report quality problems to the supervisor.
• Report production through Shopflex.
• Fill out inspection reports/records.
• Complete department Stop Cards for line stops.
• Monitor width and dampness; escalate issues up the line.
• Determine changeover length and update records accordingly.
• Measure carpet width per order and record results in Shopflex.

Job Title

Dyeing/Kuster Inspector Clerk | Monday - Friday

Position Overview

This position is Monday- Friday 3pm-11pm. POSITION OBJECTIVE: To detect quality problems while inspecting carpet and to report production through the Shopflex system.

Essential Duties

• Inspect carpet for defects
• Obtain shade patch for supervisor to review
• Fill out correct information in the computer for each roll and print tickets
• Hold rolls and report quality problems to the Supervisor
• Report production through Shopflex
• Fill out Inspection reports/records
• Fill out Department “Stop Cards” for all line stops on carpet
• Monitor width and carpet dampness; communicate up the line if issues occur
• Determine correct changeover length to be removed and enter it accordingly
• Physically measure carpet width once per shop order and record results in Shopflex
• Assist in keeping work areas in a clean and orderly
