• Perform start-up and shutdown activities and monitor for proper operation.
• Conduct routine inspections at the beginning of each shift and after breaks.
• Be prepared to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping and report mechanical issues to supervision.

Job Title Machine Operator / Part-Time Weekend Nights

Position Overview

Part-Time Nights will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The operator is responsible for operating the machine in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications ensuring that a quality product is being produced.

Responsibilities

• Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times
• Inspect assigned job at the beginning of every shift and after each break
• Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
• Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently
• Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours
• Communicate any problem or concerns to the supervisor in a timely fashion
• Properly identify yarn packages for lot running on assigned lines
• Perform all job procedure
• Patrol job and make sure all positions are running
• Communicate any problems to the supervisor related to quality or run-ability problems
• Label yarn for identification purposes
• Repair breakouts immediately
• Assist with change over following proper procedures
• Initial labels prior to putting on finished package
• Report any mechanical problems by notifying the supervisor and technician assigned to the area
• Follow waste prevention procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Inspect yarn according to established procedures

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
