MANITOWOC COUNTY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CENTER INC seeks a Housing Program Coordinator to support households facing homelessness and fleeing domestic abuse under the DV RRH program. Responsibilities include intake, eligibility, housing placement, landlord negotiations, and case management to move clients toward housing stability.

The role requires collaboration with Coordinated Entry, data review, grant reporting, and maintaining client files.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, counseling, or related field
• Two years of experience working in supportive housing services
• Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault desired.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Able to work independently and as a team, set priorities, and be flexible
• Able to be supportive and non-judgmental
• Able to help individuals explore options and problem solve
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to work with persons from diverse backgrounds and multiple issues
• Excellent computer skills include Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and WINDOWS
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
• Bi-lingual a plus
• Must be able to pass background check

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, schedule, evaluate, and mentor DV RRH Staff
• Shares in on‑call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Enroll clients and help them find housing
• Perform intake and confirm eligibility
• Assist clients in housing search, including applying for apartments and negotiating with landlords
• Provide clients with a listing of housing options aligned with needs and geography
• Assist with documentation, credit issues, utilities arrears, and landlord references
• Arrange inspections of housing and landlord corrective action
• Determine rent reasonableness and Fair Market Rent for units
• Explain and review lease/sublease agreements with incoming clients
• Assist with acquisition of furniture and move-in essentials
• Educate clients and landlords on tenant/landlord rights, Fair Housing, and discrimination
• Develop individual plans and monitor progress in DV RRH program with case management
• Coordinate with community partners to address client needs
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, staff, volunteers, and community members
• Maintain ongoing rental calculations and annual service assessments
• Provide life skills training as needed
• Build relationships with landlords and property management to expand portfolio
• Advocate with landlords for clients with barriers such as evictions or poor credit
• Negotiate leases with landlords and clients
• Participate in Coordinated Entry (CE) and CE case conferencing with confidentiality
• Attend CE trainings and meetings as requested
• Represent the agency and program at housing-related meetings and collaborations
• Participate in semi-annual Point-In-Time counts
• Attend outreach events as needed
• Maintain agency client files and document services in Osnium
• Document communications with landlords and tenants for grants/reports
• Attend staff meetings and work in a team approach
• Maintain safety and confidentiality in accordance with policy
• Other duties as assigned
