Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification or board-eligible and able to certify within 12 months
• Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience preferred
• Effective communication skills required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedures and patient identification
• Performs all vascular studies according to policy and accrediting body standards
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort while aiding transport as needed
• Obtains health history and documents data accurately in the system
• Communicates relevant data to team members and other departments
• Assists in equipment evaluation and basic troubleshooting
• Contributes to department quality monitors and PI initiatives
