Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a senior Plant Manager to lead operations at two manufacturing facilities—one in the Akron, Ohio area and a second in southern Wisconsin. This executive role focuses on safety, production performance, quality, cost improvement, and employee development across both sites.

The ideal candidate has extensive plant leadership experience in a PSM-regulated environment, hands-on Lean/Six Sigma, ISO 9000 familiarity, and an ability to partner with union leadership to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant plant operations leadership experience, including responsibility for large manufacturing teams.
• Hands-on experience in OSHA PSM-regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across two plant locations, including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and overall plant performance.
• Drive OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental compliance, and a strong plant-wide safety culture.
• Develop plant leadership teams and create accountability around safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Improve OEE, throughput, downtime, scrap, productivity, and operating costs.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure production schedules and quality standards support customer requirements and on-time delivery.
• Maintain quality systems aligned with ISO 9000 standards.
• Partner with employees and union leadership on workforce and operational matters.
