Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee operations at two manufacturing facilities, one near Akron, OH and another in Southern WI. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals while leading continuous improvement initiatives and Lean/Six Sigma programs.

You will manage production, maintenance, and logistics, ensure OSHA compliance, and develop a high‑performing, collaborative team across locations to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing plant operations and large teams.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing a unionized workforce and handling collective bargaining, grievances, and industrial relations.
  • Experience in specialty materials manufacturing including microporous substrates, polymer films, membranes, or other engineered sheet products is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics and ensure adherence to customer specifications.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA PSM and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all teams.
  • Oversee quality control systems to meet ISO 9000 requirements.
  • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement programs.
  • Improve and ensure production schedules meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor indicators for throughput, scrap rates, and downtime; implement cost-saving measures.
  • Lead, coach, and guide development of plant staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance culture.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and quality performance.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma programs.
  • Identify opportunities for productivity and OEE improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Operations Management or related field
