State of Georgia invites applications for the High School Initiatives / Student Affairs Assistant at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. The role focuses on coordinating dual enrollment, admissions processes, and articulation between high schools and the technical college.

The successful candidate will work across Newton and Rockdale counties, guiding students through admissions, financial aid, and course sequencing while liaising with high school personnel and campus staff.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary environment.
• Official transcripts required within 60 days of employment.
• Preferred qualifications include admissions counseling and recruitment experience at a college.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as primary contact for high school administrators, counselors and staff to promote a seamless guidance system between secondary and postsecondary institutions.
• Secures signatures required by the Technical College System of Georgia and DOE for dual/joint enrollment programs and articulation agreements.
• Provides information to students on program offerings and facilitates admissions, placement testing, transcripts, and financial aid completion.
• Coordinates with high schools for student registration and withdrawal in an organized, timely manner.
• Initiates entry of application data into the student information system and ensures courses align with program of study for aid purposes.
