Job summary

Shutterfly's JCPenney Portraits team is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Studio Manager for dual locations in Michigan. You will assist the Studio Manager, capture engaging portraits, and contact customers to schedule sessions while delivering an exceptional experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail, photography, or service industry preferred.
• Able to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, data entry, Excel).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Studio Manager with the operation and management of a portrait studio.
• Capture fun, creative images to exceed customer expectations.
• Call and schedule sessions with potential and existing customers.
• Provide a delightful customer experience.
• Follow safety procedures to protect customers.

Hourly Payrate: $17.00

What You’ll Do Here

• Assist the Studio Manager with the operation and management of a portrait studio
• Capture images that are fun, spontaneous, and creative to exceed the customers’ expectations
• Talk with potential customers and call existing customers to schedule and confirm sessions
• Provide delightful customer experience
• Demonstrate professionalism and show concern for the safety of customers by following established safety procedures

The Skills You’ll Bring

• Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 – 2 years of experience working in retail, photography, or service industry strongly preferred
• Ability to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends, as needed
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g., navigation, data entry, Outlook, Excel)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
