Job summary

Harmony Hospitality Inc is seeking a Banquet Server to support event service at our Virginia Beach location. You will set tables, greet guests, and ensure smooth service for each function throughout the event.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, the ability to lift 20-40 lbs, and the use of suggestive selling techniques while adhering to all policies and procedures to protect guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of hotel banquet food/beverage service experience.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Able to lift/push/carry 20–40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
• Keep station neat and clean while servicing guests per policies and procedures.
• Handle in-room clearing and aisle tray breakdown for buffets or special service tables.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffets or service tables and equipment.
• Greet and serve guests following food and beverage service guidelines.
• Follow guest check and money handling procedures for a-la-carte and beverage orders.
• Complete assigned side work.
• Know the menu for each function and explain major ingredients and preparation methods.
• Know and use suggestive selling techniques.
