Job summary

The University of St. Thomas in Minnesota seeks an Associate tenure-track faculty member to serve as the Doctor in Social Work (DSW) Program Director for the School of Social Work.

This 9-month appointment with administrative compensation extends to 12 months and begins August 2027. The successful candidate will teach graduate doctoral courses, advise students, and lead program accreditation and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• PhD (US or foreign) or DSW in social work required.
• MSW from CSWE-accredited program.
• Two+ years post-MSW practice or equivalent.
• Administrative or management experience in higher ed.
• Licensed in Minnesota or eligible within a year.
• Strong teaching and scholarly achievements.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate doctoral courses and advise doctoral students with reduced load.
• Lead DSW accreditation and program assessment reporting.
• Develop and revise the curriculum; manage the program budget.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding of faculty and adjuncts.
• Engage in external partnerships and advocacy for the DSW program.
