Job summary

University of St. Thomas invites applications for the DSW Program Director-Tenure Track Faculty Member. This 9-month appointment with admin compensation extends to 12 months, starting August 2027.

The role leads the online DSW program, supports doctoral students, and advances accreditation, curriculum, and outreach in a Catholic university setting. The candidate will teach, advise, and collaborate across MFCOH with Nursing and Psychology to advance health equity and social justice through

Qualifications

• PhD or DSW in social work and minimum two years post-MSW practice.
• Teaching and scholarship record; expedited tenure possible.
• Administrative or management experience in a comparable academic institution.
• Licensed in Minnesota or license-eligible within a year.
• Familiarity with CSWE accreditation standards and curriculum alignment.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate doctoral courses and advise doctoral students.
• Lead DSW program accreditation and curriculum development.
• Oversee DSW program budget, planning, and assessment processes.
• Coordinate program governance and reporting with the SSW Chair and MFCOH leadership.
• Represent the program to internal and external stakeholders and support admissions.
