The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates for the Associate Tenure-Track DSW Program Director position in the School of Social Work. This 9‑month faculty appointment with administrative compensation extends to 12 months, beginning August 2027.

The role will lead the DSW program, support doctoral students, teach courses, advise, and manage accreditation and curriculum development. Grounded in social justice and Catholic social thought, the university emphasizes health equity,

Qualifications

PhD (or DSW) in social work with a minimum of two years post-MS W practice experience.
Record of teaching and scholarly achievements; potential for expedited tenure review.
Licensed in Minnesota or eligible to obtain licensure within a year of residency.

Responsibilities

Teaches graduate doctoral courses and advises doctoral students with a reduced teaching load.
Oversees DSW accreditation and program assessment; leads curriculum development and program evaluation.
Develops and manages the DSW program budget and administrative operations.
Represents the program and MFCOH in internal and external forums; engages stakeholders and supports recruitment.
