Job summary

Dungarvin in the United States is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver. This weekend-shift role provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them live as independently as possible while preserving dignity.

Wage is $15.75 per hour with paid training, PTO, health and dental insurance for full-time staff, 401(k) with employer match after one year, and various benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US.
• Valid driver's license required due to transporting persons served.
• Background clearance required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, dressing, bathing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties

Qualifications

• Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
