Dungarvin in Indiana is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to provide direct support, positive direction, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living tasks, maintain safety, and support personal growth, dignity, and respect.

This role involves hands-on mentoring, documentation of care plans, and collaboration with teammates to deliver person-centered services.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served).
• Some locations may require personal vehicle and auto liability insurance.
• Person-centered, patient, and kind.
• Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
• Observant and detail oriented.
• Positive role-model and team player.
• Respectful and collaborative environment.
• Good reading, writing, and communication to document care and follow support plans.
• Successful background clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
