Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is hosting a Walk-In Wednesday hiring event for Direct Support Professional (DSP) openings at the Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services center in West Chester, PA. Interviews are on the spot with no RSVP required; bring your resume for immediate consideration.

Available shifts include 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-8am, with a schedule that offers one weekday off and one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience working with children in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety: Supervise and maintain the well-being of the individuals in your care at all times.
• Engage and connect: Participate in daily ADLs, recreational, and social activities to encourage growth, confidence, and independence.
• Coach and redirect: Address and appropriately redirect inappropriate behaviors, reinforcing positive actions through supportive communication.
• Support progress: Implement individualized treatment plan goals and objectives, working with the clinical team to support each person’s development.
