Job summary

New Communities Inc in Maine is seeking a DSP Team Leader to oversee a disability support program for adults with intellectual challenges. This full-time leadership role includes limited supervisory duties for residents and oversight of direct care staff as house manager.

Schedule is mainly Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility. The role offers competitive pay at $21.00–$24.00 per hour, benefits such as health, dental, vision, 403(b) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and wellness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active Maine driver’s license is required.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting and one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English.
• DSP, 40-hour CRMA, CPR/FA, and Behavioral Intervention Training required within 120 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the direct care team, addressing performance with the Program Manager.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure safe facility coverage.
• Assist residents in achieving service plan goals and provide personal care.
• Offer guidance to clients and staff during crises.
• Oversee medication administration practices for safety and compliance.
• Manage intake and discharge processes and maintain records.
• Collaborate with guardians and external agencies to ensure high-quality services.
