New Communities is seeking a DSP Team Leader in Maine to oversee the direct care team and support adults with intellectual challenges. The role requires coordinating staffing, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with care plans and safety procedures.

The position involves after-hours on-call supervision on a regular rotation, a Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for program needs, and collaboration with guardians and external agencies to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Must have supervision experience in a healthcare or care setting.
• Strong communication skills in English are required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience in crisis management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the direct care team to address performance issues.
• Coordinate staffing to ensure safe facility coverage.
• Assist residents in achieving service plan goals and provide personal support.
• Provide crisis guidance to clients and staff as needed.
• Oversee medication administration practices for safety and compliance.
• Manage intake and discharge processes and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with guardians and external agencies to ensure high-quality services.
