Job summary

HopeTree Family Services in Abingdon, VA is seeking a Staff Supervisor to oversee Direct Support Professionals in group homes, day services, and community programs. You will model person-centered supports, coach staff, and coordinate day-to-day operations.

The role requires at least one year working with I/DD and one year supervisory experience; a Bachelor's or Associate's in Human Services is preferred. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• This position requires at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a Human Services or related field is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
• Coordinate scheduling and training for DSPs across group homes and services.
• Coach, teach, and mentor staff to promote person-centered, least restrictive supports.
• Ensure documentation, goals, progress notes, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee safety, health, and community engagement activities for individuals served.
