ViaQuest is hiring a Direct Support Professional Team Lead for the 2nd shift in Steubenville, OH. The role offers full-time hours with pay between $19.25 and $20.25 per hour, with comprehensive training provided and opportunities for advancement.

As a DSP Team Lead, you will supervise and coach staff, ensure high-quality care, and support individuals with developmental disabilities in their home settings, focusing on independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct care or IDD/IDD field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily activities and routines.
• Complete household tasks including meal prep and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Team Lead

At ViaQuest, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required! Experience is preferred!

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
