Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Mansfield, OH to provide in-home support for individuals with developmental disabilities. No prior experience required; full training is provided, including CPR and first aid.

Walk-ins welcome with interviews every Monday 11am–4pm at our local office. We offer paid daily orientation, comprehensive benefits for full-time staff (medical, vision, dental, disability, life, 401k), PTO, annual pay increases, flexible schedules, and an employee

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Clean motor vehicle record per driver criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily life activities.
• Perform meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe living environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's Ohio license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
