Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore - Gallagher Services seeks a Sr. Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support to adults with IDD in community settings. Shift is Monday to Friday 11 AM - 7 PM, on-site in Parkton, MD.

You'll empower autonomy, engage in activities, and advocate for rights, while maintaining person-centered planning and compassionate care. This role offers benefits including health/dental/vision coverage, PTO/holidays, a 403b retirement plan, and a trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Help by cooking, cleaning, laundry.
• Support community engagement, whether that’s a walk in the park, or attending local events.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Sr. Direct Support Professionalwho will provides quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community.

The work schedule: Monday to Friday 11 AM - 7 PM

Gallagher Services supportsadults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living the life of their choice.Adults are supported in living, working and being involved in the community as independently as possible.
