Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore in Parkville, MD is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live with independence and dignity. You will build trusted relationships and provide personalized support that honors each person’s strengths, choices, and goals.

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 9 AM – 5 PM. You will assist with daily routines, meals, transportation, and community activities, while advocating for each person’s rights and promoting

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care.
• Assist with meals and kitchen duties while promoting independence.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speaking.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule:Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 5 PM

HowYou'llSupport:

• Support people in preparing meals of their choice, encouraging healthy eating habits, and maintaininga clean and comfortable kitchen environment—while promoting independence and personal preferences.

• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

MinimumRequirements:

• Mustbe at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
