Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Sr. Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support to adults with IDD at Gallagher Services in Parkton, MD.

The role is full-time, on-site, with weekday mornings into the afternoon schedule and a pay range of $21.00–$21.50 per hour depending on experience. Responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, assisting with daily living, supporting community engagement, and advocating for residents’ rights.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and provide physical assistance as needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Help with cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Support community engagement, including walks or local events.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and build confidence and self-esteem.
• Maintain clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Sr. Direct Support Professionalwho will provides quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community.

The work schedule: Monday to Friday 11 AM - 7 PM

Gallagher Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living the life of their choice. Adults are supported in living, working and being involved in the community as independently as possible. The Cornerstones of the program are Person-Centered Planning and the mission and values of Catholic Charities.
