Support Services of Virginia in Lynchburg, VA is hiring Direct Support Professional (DSP) Relief to provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. You will help individuals pursue personal goals, promote independence, and build meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• Proof of highest level of education required.
• Ability to pass criminal background, registry, and tuberculosis screenings.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals toward personal goals in residential and community settings.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Develop positive relationships to promote quality of life.
• Provide day, evening, overnight, weekend coverage as needed to meet program and staffing needs.
