Life Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional for the third shift in New Bern, NC. This part-time position offers $17.50 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED along with a valid North Carolina driver's license and being 21 years of age or older.

You will assist and monitor clients with self-care, meals, medication administration, and daily activities. You will participate as part of an interdisciplinary team and follow safety procedures, documentation, and training requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Must have NC driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Aufgaben

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Attend staff development classes as scheduled and successfully complete test required competency testing (MANDT, CPR, First Aid, Safe Van Driving, Promotion of Consumer Well Being, Cultural Competency and Medication Administration).
• Other duties as assigned.
