Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes and throughout the community in the Scranton area. This role helps individuals reach goals, maintain independence, and participate in community activities with a caring team behind them.

• Previous DSP, caregiver, home health, behavioral health, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in the individual's home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills.
• Accompany individuals to community outings, appointments, recreational activities, and social events.
• Encourage participation in community integration and engagement opportunities.
• Assist with medication reminders and health-related needs as directed.
• Promote a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
• Document services provided and report any concerns or changes in condition.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with individuals and their families.
