Maxim Healthcare Services in Allentown, PA is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with IDD in Allentown and surrounding areas.

Competitive pay at $18.00–$22.00 per hour, with weekly pay, flexible scheduling (days, evenings, weekends, overnights) and eligibility for health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401(k) plan and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required background screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support community integration and participation in recreational activities
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being
• Document services and client progress accurately
• Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families
