Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Lead to assist in developing and monitoring individual plans and maintaining accurate records. You will ensure a safe environment, monitor safety hazards, and participate in required trainings and meetings.

The role requires teamwork with healthcare and social services staff, attention to detail in charting, and the ability to follow regulatory guidelines. A driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED or experience with vulnerable populations.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with disabilities.
• First Aid/CPR training may be obtained after hire.
• Mental Health certification may be required later.
• Background Study clearance (BGS) is required.
• Driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to read, write, and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring individual plans.
• Monitor client files for completeness and accuracy (records, progress notes).
• Maintain safe environment; note hazards and maintenance needs.
• Perform record keeping and participate in trainings per regulations.
