Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Direct Support Professional - Lead Float to support individuals in pursuing personal outcomes and independence. You will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, and community activities while maintaining dignity and safety.

Documentation, training, and collaborative care are essential in this role. Qualifications include experience with vulnerable populations, potential medication administration training, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations is required.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Medication administration and first aid/CPR may be required after hire.
• Background check clearance and a valid driver's license are required.
• Ability to read, write, and use a computer; basic math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals to develop independence in daily living skills.
• Assist with activities, transportation, and community participation as needed.
• Complete documentation and participate in trainings and meetings.
• Support safety and dignity in all interactions and emergency situations.
