Job summary

St. Louis Arc is seeking a Direct Support Professional Floaters to work across three or more group homes in Saint Louis, MO. The role is full-time with varied weekly schedules and a pay rate of $24/hour.

You will empower residents with daily living skills and support their independence within an inclusive residential program. Responsibilities include assisting participants with daily living tasks, safety oversight, coordinating with nursing staff on plans including medications, and documenting

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, education, medical or human services—preferably supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reliable vehicle with 4 seat belts and working heating/cooling, and valid driver’s license; valid auto insurance required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist four to six adult participants with daily living skills such as hygiene, meal preparation, dressing, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Provide safety oversight according to agency policy and Individualized Support Plans.
• Support individuals in social and emotional well-being (e.g., planning outings and activities).
• Collaborate with the nursing team to follow and implement nursing plans (medications, physical support, diets).
• Transport individuals to and from activities and appointments.
• Complete required documentation within agency and funding deadlines.
