Job summary

Abound Health in Bordentown, NJ is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

This role offers flexible schedules (full-time or part-time), weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for growth. A $1,000 signing bonus is paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
