Job summary
Venture Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for part-time shifts to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living, accompany to appointments, and help participants engage in community activities while following support plans and safety guidelines.
The role includes paid training, sign-on bonus, and a schedule that includes weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, or double shifts.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote independence.
- Assist with activities of daily living and community integration, including appointments and errands.
- Follow individual support plans and medical guidelines; document and communicate progress with the team.
