Job summary

Hope Network / Westwood in Flint, MI is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time on 1st & 2nd shifts. You will help individuals build independence, participate in the community, and support daily living activities in a compassionate, client-centered environment.

Responsibilities include safety monitoring, crisis prevention/intervention, accompanying to events, and assisting with ADLs while documenting care plans and liaising with care teams.

Qualifications

• Direct care experience helping individuals with daily living tasks.
• Strong communication and empathy in interactions with individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with various check patterns.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including mobility, dressing, bathing, and meals.
• Support participation in social, community, and leisure activities.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team; document care plans.
• Promote independence and problem-solving skills; build trust through consistent communication.
