Job summary

MyPath and its Operating Companies provide specialized services for children, adolescents and adults with special needs. Hiring a Driver to transport clients within a general area, ensuring safety and comfort while complying with all policies.

The position offers a base rate of $15.00/hr with an extra $1 on Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm and an extra $2 on weekends, plus a $2,000 referral bonus, and benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with ESOP match, and PTO after 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with 3 years clean driving record.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in working with individuals with disabilities.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and strong communication skills.
• Good personal judgment, punctuality and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to destinations including events, programs, errands, and appointments.
• Operate vehicle safely and in accordance with state laws.
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Use mobile technology to interact with dispatching staff.
• Maintain vehicle and client documentation per company standards.
• Maintain the exterior/interior of the vehicle.
• Adhere to policies and procedures regarding vehicle use and transportation.

Overview

Driver wanted – MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER LICENSE!!

Homes for Independent Living is seeking Drivers to provide transportation services for our clients. This position will be assigned to a general geographical area and will be responsible to transport adults with disabilities to and from programs and appointments.

What will I be doing as a Driver at HIL?

• Provide reliable transportation for clients to their destination including but not limited to community events, leisure activities, day programs, household errands and medical appointments
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner, abide by all State of Wisconsin traffic laws
• Assist clients with getting into and out of vehicle
• Utilize mobile technology to interact with dispatching staff
• Maintain vehicle and client documentation per company standards
• Maintain the exterior/interior of the vehicle
• Adhere to policies and procedures regarding vehicle use and transportation.

What will I get?

• Base rate of $15.00/hr.
• PLUS $1 more Monday-Friday between 2pm-10pm
• AND $2 more per hour on the weekends

What are the Qualifications?
