Job summary

Homes for Independent Living in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Driver to transport adults with disabilities to programs and appointments. No special license is required. You will assist clients into and out of the vehicle and maintain vehicle cleanliness and documentation.

This is a full-time role offering a base rate of $15 per hour, plus a $1 weekday differential (2pm–10pm) and $2 weekend differential, with a referral bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with 3 years clean driving record.
• Demonstrates skill and/or potential in working with individuals with disabilities in a supportive environment.
• Exhibits courtesy and maintains individual dignity.
• Shows good personal judgment, critical thinking, and punctuality.
• Demonstrates professionalism and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable transportation for clients to destinations including community events, activities, day programs, errands, and medical appointments.
• Operate vehicle safely and comply with Wisconsin traffic laws.
• Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle and client documentation per company standards; keep interior/exterior clean.
• Adhere to vehicle use policies and transportation procedures.
