Job summary

Alay Home Care is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence and improved quality of life. You will provide hands-on support, emotional encouragement, and help with community activities.

Responsibilities include aiding with ADLs, fostering social engagement, documenting progress, and implementing care plans while preserving a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous caregiving or DSP experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
