Job summary

Alay Home Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence and a better quality of life. You will provide hands-on support, emotional encouragement, and help with community engagement.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, supporting social activities, documenting progress, and following individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer prior caregiving or Direct Support Professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
